Sanford Meisner's view on the art is marvellous and should be known by everyone who's interested enough to buy or borrow a book about it. Meisner also acted in many of its stage productions, including Awake and Sing. In this book he recreates that experience for us, allowing us to see how auiobook progression of exercises works in practice. This makes the book immenently more readable, and I felt I took enough away from this reading that my next productions will benefit greatly.
