It caused uproar for revealing White House secrets and accusing Trump of incompetency, but its cover blandly comprises a white backdrop, capitalised text in a mix of blue and red, and a picture of the president. Having previously depicted Trump in political covers for Time Magazine , Rodriguez said he was called upon to offer a more provocative version. It depicts a cartoon of Trump's face as a large flame, which is huge in comparison to the scale of the White House illustrated at the bottom. The Fire and Fury title is black to match the background, while the tagline is written in white beneath. As with his designs for Time, created to illustrate Trump's escalating "meltdown" during the presidential campaign, Rodriguez chose the colours of the flame to resemble the president's visage.
It's not some blind I-hate-Trump,-bring-back-Obama ranting. Of course not, and his fiercely progressive monologues fugy garnered a new generation of fans and followers. A bit more caution and care in the journalism would suit me. Since Donald Trump's presidential nomination, this book certainly won't, the truth is always found somewhere in the middle. If saying what he did on the campaign trail didn't.
He is a New Yorker in Washington, far more consumed with the news media and personalities than policy issues. He elides facts, fudges the specifics and dispenses with professional norms in the service of success and status. And while affecting a contempt for the mainstream press, he cannot help dropping the mask to reveal the double game he is playing. The duo are a match made in heaven, or perhaps due south. Politics and elections are my beat, so I can easily get pulled into stories about the Trump White House. But while the accounts can be sublime, at least to a scoop-hungry reporter, they can also leave one unsatisfied.
To put it tury, it can be hard to attain the unalloyed truth from a president who has long boasted of gaming the press. I could not honestly say that I like the writing style of this book! Kelly hates everyone most of all? This book sure makes him seem smart.
I know politics is something we all get fired up about so I just want to say that anything I say is my own personal opinion and I'm totally open to alternative perspectives if someone wants to respond in the comments, but if you're just going qnd call me a libcuck or whatever don't bother. Some of the fly-on-the-wall feel of being there came through well, though not all. Almost as much as Trump, Steve Bannon is a star of this book. Lots and lots of hear-say, and not all with evidence that would hold in court.Henry Holt and Company.
