Who Wrote the Book of James?
W hen you study the entire book of James in the Bible you will see two distinct ideas being discussed: 1 marks of true faith and 2 marks false faith. Chapter 1 discusses several evidences of true faith joy, patience, endurance, etc. Throughout the book it is clear that James assumes that those reading this letter have already accepted Jesus as Saviour and that because of this the power of the Holy Spirit helps us to discern what James wants us to know. In the opening verses to chapter 2 James appears to be admonishing the body of Christ to stop showing partiality based upon social status:.
